Apart from support for JPEG2000 (both jp2 and j2k) and support for
base64-encoded images in XFA forms, this release doesn't bring any new
functionality. However, it fixes some bugs that were introduced in
2.0.5. The most important issue that was solved is the broken RTF
functionality. Problems with PdfNameTree, PdfReader/PdfStamper, WMF
images, and others were fixed.

In this release some very obstinate bugs (e.g. indentation problems) were fixed, performance was drastically improved in some specific cases (reading fonts and reading existing PDFs), and iText is now more tolerant in 'Garbage In, Garbage Out' situations (faulty TIFFs or PDFs that are used as input don't cause errors as often as before). You can add content to pages with PdfCopy, there's support for PDF/A-1, you can now choose your own names for Document Level JavaScript snippets, and you can define XMP metadata on the page level.

Dioscuri is an x86 computer hardware emulator written in Java. It is designed by the digital preservation community to ensure documents and programs from the past can still be accessed in the future.
The Dioscuri emulator has two key features: it is durable and flexible. Because it is implemented in Java, it can be ported to any computer platform which supports the Java Virtual Machine (JVM), without any extra effort. This reduces the risk that emulation will fail to work on a single architecture in the future, as it will continue to work on another architecture.
This release is capable of running various versions of MS-DOS, FreeDOS 0.9 Beta (included in package) and ELKS (Embeddable Linux Kernel Subset).
